Which Clutch

Post by Offshore »

Martha, my 1970 Traveller now needs a new clutch.

Which one do buy - AP Driveline ("Genuine"?) or Borg and Beck?

Not too bothered about the price difference - reliability and confidence that she will drive every day is more important.

Look forward to your advice guys.

Thanks Dale, I assumed that was the reason why the AP ones are twice as expensive.

Appreciate the advice.

I would only fit a plate and carbon thrust - the pressure assembly can do many 'turns'.

AP Driveline. The pressure plate may need renewing depending on driving style, if you 'ride the clutch' or a previous owner has, which isn't easy to tell. The springs do wear out over time.
