How many cc in my pistons?

Post by Morrisminormo »

I have been offered a 206 head for my 948cc. The cc in a 206 head is 28.3. but do I need to no what cc s in the pistons to work out how much I need skimming ?? It is not unleaded so will have to get the valve seats done also.

Cheers

The 206 head is relatively rare........you would need to skim it 80 thou (maybe 100 thou if you dare..) to get a worthwhile comp ratio (but before doing that - the oil passage depth must be checked) .....and don't waste money on unleaded seats...... The 940 head is a MUCH better proposition - as you have been told many times now.......

I think really wanted a 'bolt on head' the 12g940 is the best but pocketing the block sounds daunting to me :(
