Desperate rear inner wing

i'm going crazy with the rear inner wing replacement. Already welded the spring hanger section, sills and floor pans, but with this one I'm going crazy.

I started on the right side first with the main panel on bottom and had difficulties then with the upper part fixing all around, not finished yet. Now I did the left side starting with the connection on top first. Impossible to get the inner wing fitted,

Has anyone a advice where and how to start?

I start to think if I should cut the main panel in half and weld it afterwords together again.....

Looking forward for some advice,
Steffen

Some pictures would help us understand the problem.

Ive done a couple of these and they are very difficult to do with a lot of reshaping of the panel to suit your car. The way I went about it was to repair the bit that the wing bolts to as this is the most important bit, as it affects were the wing will sit in place. Then it was a case of making the inner wing fit, pulling it into place with clamps and nuts and bolts with big washers to spread the load. You will need lots of clamps, cups of tea and patience, but you will get there!

I agree with David - fix the wing mounting flange panels first. I also found that the original inner wing panel from one supplier was far too shallow a bend where it meets the rear seat bulkhead. From another supplier in East Sussex, the fit was much better but even then, I had to make a few small vertical cuts towards the front of the inner wing panel and re-weld in order to meet the car shape properly.
