Is it possible to convert the floor change to column if so what parts would I need. ?

Have a look at a Series MO Oxford, that has a column change

Converting to an automatic might be easier.

There is no point whatsoever as three-abreast front seating is out of the question.

Thanks, there is a column from an MO on ebay but I did not know if the parts were interchangeable , does the MO use the same gearbox ?

Thanks but dont want an auto will be towing our classic caravan the idea is to have a bench seat without the cut out for the gearchange/handbrake.

will not be three people its totaly for looks

Why not fit and umbrella type hand brake and either bend the gear lever a bit and/or move the seats back to give more clearance?

Even original column changes end up being vague pudding stirrers once a bit of wear set in.

MO uses a larger engine and box. I would leave the column on ebay to someone who needs it

certainly considered that, have used that type of handbrake on a lotus 7 type build before, guess it may be the easiest .

was thinking of joining the two front seats together to make the bench.

Another, potentially more elegant approach could be to fit an electric hand brake. They are all the rage these days so a visit to a scrappy might be in order.

Often thought of putting a seat in the back , not about legal implications ,
