How much?

Post by TwinkleTwinkle »

Good evening,

I am new to this forum although have been a club member for many years, am having to sell my Morris to help fund a house move :(
Was wondering if any of you experts out there could give me an idea of what she might be worth.[frame]Image[/frame]

Was purchased as a father and daughter restoration project when I was 17 (20 + years ago!), used as daily run around once completed for a few years, then garaged for the past decade or so (apart from 2 family weddings!).

The restoration featured loads of new body panels, parts and welding, sills, floors, wings, door and boot lid bottoms, reconditioned engine, was originally Trafalgar Blue, professionally re-sprayed to Smoke Grey (except engine bay) Interior is in good condition.

4 former keepers, lots of paperwork and receipts including original registration of sale book and service log. 64,500 miles on the clock.[frame]Image[/frame]

I reckon £2000 to £2500 depending on seeing it close up. Coming up to Christmas is not the best time to sell and get top price. It would make a great christmas present though!

The rear bumper looks to be on the skew on the o/s, but maybe that's the photo angle.

I don't like saying it, but put it on ebay with a really good selling description plus plenty of information, history and photos. Most importantly have a lowish start price and high reserve price, and see where the price goes. If it goes really high you can sell to the highest bidder if you want, or it might surprise you and go over the reserve. If it doesn't meet reserve you have learned what the value of the car was at that given time.

Sounds about right, pictures of the grubby bits, the engine and the underneath, will be of interest to serious buyers.
