Door draught excluder

Post by stag36587 »

Hi

I've bought two new original style draught excluders for my 2 door saloon. Please is anyone able to confirm whether or not the seal should also fit along the bottom edge of the door aperture, ie under the sill kick plate? I'm assuming not?

Any advice or photo would be very much appreciated of exactly how the seal fits at the bottom of the a and b posts.

Many thanks

Hi, no the seal only fits up the a post, across the roof lip and down to the bottom of the b post. Nothing along the kick plate sill edge...

I found this on google images

Leave a couple of inches at the kick plate ends, you cut the metal part off and tuck the rubber down in behind the kick plate, it has a small raised area at each end for this.

Too many Minors so little time.....
