If you were looking to purchase a minor would you prefer the standard seats or some modern black leather ones?

Hi,
My seats are recovered standard ones with a little extra padding, I find them perfectly comfortable, even for long journeys.
Others have even commented how comfortable the back seat is.
I think it really depends on what look you are going for, the only thing they lack is a head rest, which I have never found to be a problem.
Best wishes,
Mike.

for safety and a little more comfort ,best = modern ,but for everything else standard.

ps. unless you have moderns with headrests ,you CAN NOT take a driving test if you have standard seats

I have to say that I regard modern as an alternative but not necessarily the best, as that is a matter of personal perception.
Best is subjective and depends entirely on one persons viewpoint.
Also modern always looks just that and stands out because of it, so we are back to personal choice / taste again.

I really can't make up my mind, I've always liked the black leather interior, and I've got the chance of a set at a good price. I've also been offered a standard front passenger seat that if I went for that I'd use to replace my ripped drivers seat. But I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep the car :-?

If you're not going to keep the car does it matter?

If it was a car I was going to drive every day, decent modern seats (preferably from Newton Commercial) would be a huge plus; I'd be fitting them & a few other upgrades too.
If it were a Sunday driver car, an original MM or Series II I'd expect original seats.
