I wonder if anyone can help please. I have a 1954 split screen (with a 1098 engine) which has the offset dashboard. There is a warning light that works fine but I would like to connect the dial on the dashboard to give a pressure reading. I would like to know what fitting can I use to not only show the light but also the pressure and where I can get one from. Any help/advise would be welcome.
Many thanks.

With the 1098 engine the oil pressure switch screws into the block at the rear right hand end, just behind the distributor. Unscrew the switch, screw in a t-piece, and then the switch goes on one branch and either an electrical sender, or a capillary tube for a mechanical gauge, on the other side. The t-piece is a standard item available from many car accessory places. Try Vehicle wiring Products. If I recall correctly, it's a 1/8 inch thread, probably BSP.
