Hi there
I've just confirmed the purchase of a Rose Taupe coloured Traveller! One of many things I'm now doing - after today joining the MMOC- is looking into its history. If anyone else has done this from scratch I'd be interested in how you got on, and any useful tips.
Doing a quick vehicle check on the DVLA website, it is shown as colour Red. Do you think that's what someone has interpreted as rose taupe, or might it have been resprayed in the past? It's a 1967 F reg. Was there a factory colour of 'Red' in 1967? It's red trim inside.
BTW I'm reluctant to reveal the full registration on here just now because I've only paid the deposit and don't own it outright yet.
Thanks !

Re: Rose Taupe Traveller
I've seen 'rose taupe' described as red or grey by the DVLA.
This probably goes back to interpretation of the colour by the many original local vehicle licensing offices when they wrote out the new vehicle's 'log book'. DVLA would just copy that when they were computerised.

Re: Rose Taupe Traveller
Thanks. I looked up a few other rose taupes and they showed as grey.
Re: Rose Taupe Traveller
I think 'red' would be an unlikely interpretation....and no, there were no red Minors from the factory..... Is the V5 definitely for your car - do the numbers match the stamped in numbers on the bulkhead (not the little plate...).

The 'red' wasn't from the v5, its on the dvla online info for the registration no.

Re: Rose Taupe Traveller
Sounds reasonable to me, they won't have seen the car and have a limited number of colours to choose from, rose -> red.
