hi all , new new to the morris scene ive had my fair share of classic cars ... mini's , chevette's , mk1 & 2 escorts , lotus cortina but i've always liked the look of the traveller...
so ive bought this its far from perfect, the woods the wrong colour and it needs a paint job.. ( get rid of the fibreglass wings )
any help from yourselfs would be great...
the first thing with the car i have noticed whilst driving it is there's a nasty noise when the engines under load ...
not sure its the engine but maybe the gearbox is this normal ??

thanks in advanced chris
heres a couple of pics for you[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Welcome, I've got an almond green Minor too, it has several shades on it too, I call it patina :)
Hard to tell what state the wood is in with that dark stain, looks like some discolouration in places, are there any soft bits?

it has been repaired with fibreglass filler in two areas ... which im going to cut out and make good with repairs until i can afford to replace the wood...
the stain has been put on rather heavy in places .... which does make it look patchy ... fingers crossed a good sand down will bring it back to a lighter shade

i was told it was owned by a gentleman that gave up driving ... it has had the odd 'diy ' repairs that need looking at

but ill do these over time

Got all my bits together for the engine rebuild
The engine I bought is a good second hand runner
Just thought I'd freshen it up , oil pump , shells and chain
Old piston and rings look fine

Even the old shells looked fine but thought I'd change them anyway

I do need an unleaded head , cheapest I've found is £180
Exchange
Anyone no of any better prices ??[frame]Image[/frame]
