Dear sir, could I know original wiring loom trace colour for my 1968? I am restoring my car, but I think to have choosen a wrong trace colour (look picture) because I choose a red trace.

Thanks, Max[frame]Image[/frame]

Hi,
Sorry that I don't know the answer to your question, but I just wanted to say what a superb job you've made of the engine bay. Absolutely beautiful! I'd love to see one or two "before" pictures, and a few more "after" pictures showing one or two of the more awkward bits such as seams and corners if you could be bothered posting them?
Did you have any welding to do beforehand? Panel replacement or cutting and welding in?
Lovely job

I guess you mean the red trace on the loom wrapping?
Unless you plan to enter the car for concours I wouldn't worry at all.

Yes, the colour of loom wrapping. It is black with a colour trace. I would like to know if red trace may be correct or, as I think, the correct colour of trace is white and red.

Thanks, Max[frame]Image[/frame]

Having donned my full sized anorak with the string through the arms with my mittens on the end, I think the following are the correct colours for the braided wiring looms for the Minor:

Series MM - black with red trace
Series 2 - black with red trace
1000 (948 & 1098) - black with red/yellow trace

Although, as Roy says, it really doesn't matter at all as long as the loom has the required connections needed. If your loom is already fitted and it works, there is no need to change it.
