Dear all,

Those of you interested in the history of the internal combustion engine might like to read this an article in "The Engineer" of October 1935 by Harry Ricardo entitled "Progress of the Internal Combustion Engine and its Fuel".

http://www.theengineer.co.uk/Journals/2 ... r-1935.pdf

And if you've never heard of Ricardo, well, shame on you and go and look him up in Wikipedia! Regards, MikeNash.

Fascinating, wick carbs and moving up from 4 to 1 compression ratios, an interesting history lesson.
