Does anyone know where I can get a period-style tax disc holder? The only ones that I can find are motorcycle type that require a bolt or screw.
Thanks,
Roger.

I also have a Barnacle suction tax-disc holder - they are superb - but didn't pay anywhere near the ebay prices. They are a top-quality item, look very nice on all cars from 1930s to the 1970s.

I have a suction tax disc holder for my 1952 tax disc but I can't get it to stay on for more than 2 mins, am I doing something wrong?

Yes you must be doing it wrong mine stays on for about five minutes before dropping off.

You must both be doing something wrong as I managed to get one to stay on for 9 minutes before it fell to the floor

Get one free from esm, it has the Morris logo, the clear plastic just sticks to the screen, can be removed and replaced and it only comes off when you want it to!

You need to unscrew the knurled nut fully, moisten the rubber edges then push it against the screen and tighten the nut.

Could try cleaning the windscreen with meths, as it does need to be spotlessly clean/free from grease.

Tried the meths and unscrewing, gobbing on the rubber etc, still only 2 mins.
