Welcome to the club...let's see a pic of your moggy...what's his/her name? Make sure you get your Moggy undersealed ready for winter weather if it's gonna be a daily runner. Give it another month I'll be getting vaseline on my chrome too. Plenty of advice on prepping and caring for your car on these forums. Hope you enjoy being a member

. Good Luck

Not underseal... anti rust paint then cavity wax, sump oil, wax-oil.
What on Earth is a Quad1?

An area of land enclosed on all 4 sides - often seen at Universities/Skools - that sort of place........

Or, the wartime Morris Quad (AKA C8)...

Here we are...not many about I suspect, quite slow ('it's speed uphill was not spectacular' - so a bit like a Minor, really) and not great MPG... Good luck in your search!

Ahh it all makes sense now. They can be pretty dangerous things.

Not many about at all! I can only guess the request is for a Morris C8 MK1, which were made in minuscule numbers in '39,'40 and mostly left in Dunkirk I imagine...

If Quads are those vehicles with 4 big fat tyres and wide handlebars, I can honestly say on the occasions I have seen one, it has been driven by a half-wit with no road sense or manners, I noticed this, as after seeing the first few, I made a mental note to see if this was their usual behavior, they also seem to have no silencers and love riding on your bumper.

Hello everybody!! Thankyou so much for all your fantastic, and humerous comments. Never before have I started such a broad ranging discussion-and all because my friend wanted me to help him find a Quad bike thing for his child! (The 1 incidentally was because I forgot to press shift on my Querty keyboard for an exclamation mark). Oh dear...

Well you tried anyway
To be honest a "a nice used Quad" is probably a rarity , hammered to death or long neglected quads may be more common.
Cheaply made Chinese quads however;
