Anybody know the correct length of a saloon handbrake cable?, early this year I bought a new set for my wreck rebuild but they look too short, thinking I was sent the van type by mistake I ordered some more with other parts.
Parcel arrived today but they are the same, outer cable is 30 inches long / inner 55",is this incorrect or is it me :-? .

The outer sheath is " outside " the car, underneath. The inner cable runs inside the car, forward from the rear transmission tunnel / floor corner, connecting to the handbrake, " exposed " under the carpet.

Don't worry, we all have our " moments ".It's car restoration that sends you a little mad at times.Just yourself "what was I thinking of " and move on to the next problem.
Good luck with it.
