How strange

This dosen't seem right, two heater pipes that come through the bulkhead one to the tee piece on the bottom hose, the other to another outlet on the bottom of the radiator on the off side. The rear of the cylinderhead is sealed off where the valve should be. Can anybody please help with a list of parts to correct this before I freeze to death this coning winter.

Welcome to the forum. What year is the car / what size engine? Also, do you want originality or best parts? When we know this, we can advise on correct parts.

The car is 1956, the engine is 948, which I suspect is not original and being a traveller I think the more heat the better. I am not too concerned about originality within reason as a few things fitted before my ownership are upgrades of sorts

Just fit the valve - or even a simple stub - no real need for a valve since it should be left open all the time anyway - and connect one of the pipes to it... It matters not which one. For very best heater action - block off the bypass hose, and fit an 88 or 92 degree thermostat.
