Are these the official photos of the event?
If so how much club discount is there for members?

Nothing has been mentioned about discount. If you have any queries about this the MMOC office will be able to help. Details as usual in Minor Matters.

Doesn't matter whether the pics are cheap, expensive, or indifferent when they're not online!

I sent them an email, asking for info, they have just replied, asking me to send my REG no, of course, silly me.
So it looks like we may be up and running now.

Well to be fair, I was rather hoping to browse all the pics taken rather than my individual one on the way out, but hey ho! And I'm sure we all want to see the one(s) taken from the cherrypicker

Totally agree!! They have links to a lot of other events so why not this one? It's now Thursday evening and they are still not on the website so it seems the club was spun a line about them being available from Wednesday! Did the club commission this company to do the photography or Gaydon?
I'd like to purchase a photo but if I can't preview what I am purchasing they can forget it.

I sent them an email asking for a link to the pictures. Got a quick reply asking for details of the car, to which I replied promptly. Very pleasant email sent with picture of my car and the aerial shots, plus price list - no discount. Very crisp image, perfect exposure. I would sum it up as good quality photo and prompt courteous service, merely a shame that they are not currently available online as expected.

Why would the club give me a discount on a private firms product
Only a polite ask
If you dont ask you dont get
Sorry if I upset you
Most firms will give a discount if buying several prints at one time

Instead of complaining on this forum, I complained directly (rather too strongly) to Sands Photography regarding the "coverage" of the event. Turns out that the photographer was not commissioned by either the MMOC or the Museum, and he was doing this as a favour to Ray Newell - pity that Ray did not make this known to us.
I have had to apologise to Eddie (the photographer) for my strong condemnation of his site. I can quote from his reply (and he has accepted my apology) Quote -
"We do not show images on our site without permission from clubs, car owners etc.
We rarely show an entire event on the site, understanding peoples privacy rights, but are willing to email images to individuals including a few candid shots from the day including overhead panoramas etc. this is our policy and the way we choose to run the business, the website being the first means of communication and advice. Car events of which are a small part of what we do are enjoyable events for us, the interaction with our customer base is key to us covering these events, our business is about selling prints on the day and having a laugh, after sales are not a huge part of this type of event, hence we do not promote it." - un-Quote.
Regards, George.
