I've had 3 Devons - same mechanics, but with a more attractive body (in my opinion). Usual problem is rust - my uncle had a rusty one in the late 50's :D . Mechanicals usually pretty good, but rear axle is pretty weak - like a minor. They are not particularly quick with only 42bhp and roll a fair bit on corners (shocks leak) - brakes are pretty marginal too. Quite a relaxing drive if not in a hurry.
I had to fit 3 gearboxes to mine before I found one that didn't jump out of gear.
An MO Morris Oxford or the later pre farina Oxfords are nicer cars.

I had 2 devons and a somerset interiors are hard to get in decent condition and boot floors rot for fun .I found weak gearboxes and back axles always whine drives you mad and bulkhead rots under the window channel .I wonder where my last one went LRU297 I sold it 98% restored it drove me mad don't do it Les :lol:
