After a recent heavy downpour a puddle appeared onthe mat directly below the indicator switch.

The rubber seal appears OK, no splits apparent, and the dashboard was dry when felt.

I presume water ingress is rrom rubber seal? If so is it a case of running a sealant around the outside or a replacement?

The bonnet hinges and wiper stem surrounds are also possible culprits.

Check quarter light, windscreen rubber bottom right hand. This can drip slowly leaving the paintwork appearing to be dry unles you are sitting in the car at the time. On a dry day get someone to gently "water" the car with a watering can front and side whilst you sit inside and watch.

I had the same cured by new door rubbers

i had the same problem
new rubber fitted with mastic it still leaked.
you might find (captain tolleys creeping crack cure)
will solve your problem (it did mine)
you can buy it from most boat/sailing shops.
there is a good site on the net to show it being used....
google it

Thanks for the suggestions and for reference our Traveller is a 1971 model.
I will check the relevant rubbers as outlined and feedback.

Update is bought Captain Tolleys, which I applied in 3 coats with the appropriate drying time between each. Still leaking.
Replace the gaskets around wiper stems, still leaking.
Replaced hinge gaskets, still leaking.
Traced drip coming from edge of dashboard neaxt to the front of the door..
Next item I propose to replace is the door seal, which looks OK at the top but is coming away at the base.
Is this the correct course to follow?

Check 1/4 light for close fit and that the rubbers aren't perished?

if it was from the quarter lights,not sure it would run out near the dashboard.I would think the hinge seal would be where I would look,The seals even new ones ,to me don't look very effective,All the times I had had mine off,including the wiper seals,I have put mastic ,A lot,round the bolts and wiper spindles before fitting the seals ,just don,t think they are a very good way to seal with just the flimsy rubbers.Once tightened up you can clean any mastic off the get forced outwards.Did this on my splitty last time and not had a leak since.

If dripping from the dash - most likely to be the windscreen seal......

Did you put some tolleys into the top edge of the screen rubber where it joins the body?
Water is pernicious stuff and will find it's way in, unless it's blocked.
