Handbrake cables

Are they: 1) handed and 2) the same throughout Minor production? I need one for my Series II.

If it is a saloon/traveller they are the same and not handed Part No HBK119. Make sure that you get one with a grease nipple.
If it is a van/pickup again not handed you will need Part No HBK201. Again with grease nipple.

Grease the bottom end of the inner cable, this helps prevent the cable from rusting, fraying and sticking
Adjust the brakes before tightening the handbrake and jack both rear wheels off the ground to balance the handbrake cables

Now sorted, the old cable was seriously sticking in the sheathing, causing the brake at that wheel to bind.

Gave everything a good greasing whilst under there.
