Either take a chance on ebay - or just get one from your local autoparts place - at least you won't pay carriage that way.. Mini 998 pump is the one you want.

And when you find one check the flange surface. QH a while back started to use a wierd beaded style flange that wasn't flat.

Sealed OK but just didn't look right.

Club Spares have NOS water pumps, see the most recent Minor Matters.

Large impeller is for 1275 engine.

Isn't the small impeller for the 948 and the large for the 1098? Have a look on ESM and Bull Motif sites. I think I have the large impeller version in my 1098. If your spares shop don't know then buy from one of the specialist suppliers?

You 'may' get away with the large impeller in a later 1098 block (and you may not!) - but it was designed for the 1275.

It's perfectly satisfactory for a 948......Be sure to fit a NEW solid wall (ie not convoluted) bypass hose at the same time.

Oh, if you had the small impeller then replace with a small impeller. You know that will fit.

This is to do with clearance in the block because the large impeller protrudes a bit further? I wonder how many people get caught out with that.

Yes - I think DSN are much overlooked as suppliers - I used to buy Mini bits from him, and was always pleased with the service -and the prices.
