I'm starting to look at the bodywork on my 4 door. The surface is surface rusty and im going to wire brush it, but is ok to use rust killer, such as jenolite, prior to spraying with etch primer? Will this affect either 2 pack or cellulose paint?

I doubt 'wire brushing' is the best way forward... You need to decide if the 'rust' really is on the surface (unlikely unless the paint finish has been damaged) or coming through from below - sadly, much more likely..... In which case, new metal will be required. Jenolite etc is fine -but 2 pack is NOT a DIY paint finish.......

its rusty all over and blistered, so needs to be taken back to the bare metal.

i am going to get it painted professionally but want to clean it back and treat the metal then prime it before it goes to the body shop.

I had a van that was covered in surface rust
ran it for 5 years like it
no holes and all the panels were solid
