I lived in Herne Hill in 1969 and got my first Moggy in 1970 - but unfortunately no, I don't remember George Osborne as a dealership. The name sounds sort of familiar, though......

A nice find
The Graphoref was a sort of universal multilingual parts book. Even with no command of any appropriate language, the customer could point at the picture of the part, the dealer would note the number onthe pic and the page number and the right part would be ordered - an early microfiche if you like! These days its a handy exploded pictorial referance.
There was another version of the the 'schedule of repair charges' which was 'shedule of repair times' which was marked up as confidential and not to be shown to the customer! Presumably the repair costs could be updated and increased whilst the times stayed the same. The hourly rates must have been top secret in those days...

i found these interesting
as a previous post said about the front wings he was sent were poor quaility....
in the repair's book
wing, front, remove and fit new,
includes refitting headlamp,wiring up,refocusing

Think he later tried his hand in politics, not particularly good, but far more profitable. His brother John had a much more successful career as a playwright. Another relation formed a rock group in the late 60s......Zzzzz
