What about Scotland? Must be about time surely, we have had it in the South a few times and it would be great to go to!

Hi,
I'd travel north of the border, lots of things to see up there.
Anyway, time some of the southern moggies had a good run out......
Best wishes,
Mike.

I would chuck the minor on the trailer and drive to Scotland...
In fact I would put the minor on the trailer wherever the rally is... much better sleeping in a van than a tent!

Being Scottish I would definitely like to see it up there. Would be a great opportunity to show my (hopefully completed by then) restoration to my elderly parents.

Would be good and a local one for me if was in Scotland. We would certainly make everyone welcome. I just think will be another 800 round trip next June though.

Can anyone "up North" suggest a suitable site? It must have plenty of room, be flexible about the number of visitors, easily accessible, not too expensive, provide a camping site, have good facilities, and provide something of interest to visit. Also need to consider whether traders would be prepared to make the trip, unless you were happy for a rally without many traders - many are located more to the South, and have to take a commercial decision on the cost of attending, whereas many owners treat it as a holiday.

Thirlestane Castle/park in the Borders could be a possibility, they already run lots of events.

You mean you won't be driving the Moggie up there........

Well at the moment... my one doesn't have an ignition switch, propshaft, axles, brakes, steering wheel, bonnet, fuel tank etc etc
But the minor will be faster, quieter and more efficient than the tow vehicle - I just have an aversion to tents

Donington. Combine the show with an open track day for cars attending at the owners leisure and it would be before the Download preparations if on the right date so it won't be a mess (unlike after Download

)
