Hi I seem to have a flat spot after I start my car. It start ok but when I press the accelerator there seems to be a flat spot. I have checked the valve clearances and they are ok, oil in the piston damper is ok as well. So what should I check next?
Thanks

Is the 'flat spot' only there when you start the car - with cold engine? Is it still there when the engine is fully warm? I suggest you check the vacuum advance - suck the pipe - do you see the baseplate in the dizzy moving back and forth as you suck/release?

My money is on the choke either not being pulled out for long enough or it has fallen out of adjustment.

Check the points gap too - they might have closed up.
