hello mmoc this is the first time Ive ever owned a real classic and Ive been hunting for a long time and last week a Morris 1000 3dr 1965 came up local that i couldn't refuse at a great price but no history or paperwork which is a shame. but im happy to have find her.

so its basically a rolling shell with everything there apart from a few bits and bobs missing . but as this is a complete new ownership to me i will need your help and expertise with which panels i need to get for welding and where to buy. also some technical stuff will be required.

at the moment the plan is to restore and get her road worthy first so i have my work cut out for me. Ive had a quick look over and both outta sills need replacing , passenger lower part of the rear quarter behind the door is rotten , what looks like a jacking point and a bonnet hinge is broke and a broken exhaust.

Ive been spending a few days looking through the forum .. some interesting projects and info so im sure your find me posting my problems or progress hopefully.

so il leave you with a picture off when i picked her up

Good luck with the car! Add your location to your profile -someone near you may then pop round and offer advice. Don't worry about jacking points - they are NOT EVER to be used anyway.......

Seems a solid project. You really couldn't have picked a better car to cut your teeth on. Plenty of advice given here should you become unstuck.

I see you brought it home on a dollie, not legal apparently, (unless it had a current MOT). Maybe 'Old Bill' was not around at the time

thanks for the warm welcome il be starting on her in a few months once ive finished my garage to keep her dry.

all i have is the v5 for the morris so the history and mot im not sure on and it was delivered to me by the seller so he's choice to tow it. but he got it to mine safely so im happy.

are there a certain amount off post you need to post in the wanted and sale section and do you have to be a member to make a project thread.
