Its back to normal and better thanks.
The diaphragm inside the advance/retard was completely worn and not even functioning, they also replaced the condenser. The original was only 40% functioning.
Thanks again for your help. Its been a good learning curve.

Indeed - now we wait to see how long the new condenser lasts.......
