morris minor convertable

HI can any one tell me .if a morris minor tourer / convertable with a heritage certificate which was issued by canterbury convertibles with old v5 is a orignal or a conversion ?

Hard to understand the question, but do you have the heritage certificate? Do you have the car?

Either way, the chassis number should start MAT for Tourer. If it starts MAS then it's a Saloon that's been converted.

You should ALWAYS check the stamped chassis nos to ensure it tally's with that number quoted on the screwed on chassis plate.

Several chop-top 2drs with MAT chassis plates about.

And for sale on here as convertibles in the past don't get caught out by low post sellers who aren't members

' Heritage Certificates' are not issued by Canterbury Convertibles...... They 'may' issue their own 'Certificate of Authenticity' with their cars....is this what you have ?

Private dealers authenticating their own vehicles?

When having a recent phone discussion with Canterbury Convertibles I was assured that they sold convertibles, they did not convert saloons.
