Hello i'm new.

Thought i'd say hello. Names Dan and I have recently bought a nice 1098cc 68 2 door. I say nice, at the moment it's being worked on as it wasn't quite the car the seller made it out to be. Drove it back from Glasgow to Solihull in the Midlands and found a mountain of faults with the car.

Oh well, all good fun and i'm really enjoying doing as much of the work on the car as I can myself with support of my trusty manual. The car will be my daily transport and i'm trying to get it ready over the following weeks/months.

You'll find me in the tech section asking lots of dumb questions or in the garage scratching my head :D

Cheers Dan

Thank you for the welcome. Hey how good is this, lots of folks to pop around and gets their hands dirty

Well I've got my work cut out. Engine work, some welding and totally rebuilding front and rear suspensions. Interior will see a spruce up also. I'm an ex autoglazier of 25 years and although not a mechanic I do like to swing the spanners and have a go. Working in a single garage with limited tools isn't fun but luckily the Moggy isn't a huge car and massively complicated.

Glad to hear about the tech support as I'm planning on running the car stock for a year and then fitting a 1275 Midget engine/box/diff into the car. There's only me and a Haynes manual in my garage so I will be asking a lot of questions to get me by.

See you in tech a little later.

Cheers :D
