as i post before about giving up my bmw m3. well i have
i phoned my insurance people and said i would like
to cancel and get a refund on the 7 months i had left
back came the reply ohh will have to sort out the cancelation fee....
they then asked if i could hold ? no i said you ring me back
which they did...
i had £110 refund.... BUT
£65 admin fee...
£10 charges

(you will get it back next time you insure with us) HA HA HA

Well done on getting rid of the modern, I keep thinking about it but then I get scared about the classic not working properly one day when I'm late for work.

have a read of this site http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/ make notes of the words / phrases they use and use the exact phrases in the conversation (it shows you are serious and know what you are talking about) you have with your insurance company when you ask them to recalculate the refund. I used the financial-obudsman or what ever service was going 20+ years ago and just the mention of them got me an increased refund.
