Hi. I have a 1968 2 door saloon in good overall condition. I knew it needed some sill work on the drivers side, so took it to be checked over by ESM who told me that the car is very sound but really needs new outer undersill (Rp108r), Floor edge panel inner front and inner rear (rp134R and rp135r).
The passenger side would need doing in a year or so , but I am thinking it might be best to do that now since i'm thinking of converting the car to a convertible in the future. I have a lot of time on my hands right now and want to learn some of the skills of Morris restoration myself. Rather than paying a big specialist I am thinking it might be a good opportunity to find an experienced morris restorer on the forum who would be prepared to do the work , with me as a helper. That way I can pay someone and learn about the process rather than a specialist, where I learn nothing. If anyone is interested, or knows of anyone who might fit the bill please PM me. Any advice much appreciated.
