temperature gauge

i have a problem.
i have fitted a temperature gauge and connected the wires
one to sender/gauge
one to gauge/stabilizer marked i
when up to temperature it goes off the gauge
where have i gone wrong :-?
all the wires to the voltage stabilizer are the same colour green[frame]Image[/frame]

Perhaps the engine is running hot......or perhaps incorrect sender. Or perhaps it's not connected to the 10 volt output from the regulator..... Do you HAVE a voltage regulator?? I only see a fuel gauge there........

is this the regulator? if so which connection point please[frame]Image[/frame]

Ahh yes - better picture shows it now......the wire going to the fuel gauge is the 10 volt regulated supply - so use that for the thermo...
