The infamous head is less infamous when put into a minor, as far as I've heard (from JLH themselves if I recall).

The problems in rovers were down to cooling, not the engine itself. And in the minor, you can get plenty of cooling!

I thought I'd look that up on the DVLA website...
The vehicle details for NNA 137W are:
Date of Liability 01 04 2014
Date of First Registration 01 08 1980
Year of Manufacture 1971
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1275cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour MAROON
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available
It's only listed as 1275 for one thing! But does show year of manufacture as 1971 so probably is free tax.

There was a period of time where the DVLA issued any old plates to cars

There is a Veteran car (1900 I think) which was issued with a B plate (as in 80s, not 60s) when its original plate was sold!

What are the insurance costs due to the mods and do they need an engineers report ?
