How long is a peice of string?
Excluding bear-traps, snafus etc. How long should it take to change the rear springs on a saloon if it's upon a ramp?
Re: How long is a peice of string?
Depends if the bolts/nuts have already been dosed with Plus Gas (NOT WD 40..) and loosened before you start. A morning should see it done !

Can you lift the car off yourself?
You need to lift the body so the rear end (axle) is free to move, so ramps aren't of much use...
30 minutes is fair if nothing breaks. IMHO

Re: How long is a peice of string?
Hi,
I changed mine to seven leaf in the back alley in one afternoon, with a couple of axle stands and a trolley jack. Mind you all my nuts and bolts were free having previously done all the bushes.
Plenty of copper grease on the threads for next time!
Best wishes,
Mike.

Don't know about half an hour, mind you I wasn't in a hurry..........30 minutes is fair if nothing breaks. IMHO

No critism
just God was not providing his own county with lashings of sun today. I wanted to paint the garage door!
