despite searching high and low I can't find this year's MOT certificate - I've checked online and there is an electronic record; is that sufficient to put the old girl in for this year's MOT or do I need a hard copy?
cheers
mark

you don't need anything at all
if your current test has runout and youur car passes then you will get 12 months ticket. If you had less than 1 month left on your current ticket and it passes you will get the leftover days added to your new test EG 12 months and say 20 days to expiry date.
If you can but it's not a requirement take your log book along as some older vehicles have spaces etc in the chassis numbers and it's easier to input them of a document rather than keep going back n forth to computer fron the vehicle
Good luck

I HAD to take the log book along for my car to get it's first MOT - because I was doing it month before it was due. Otherwise - just turn up. Of course - a £10 note folded up inside the old MOT as you hand it over sometimes helps.......
(just joking drivewasher!!)...
