Hi, i have read many threads on this head swap but have yet to compile all the info into a definitive answer! I have seen this head on ebay and it is local to me. Can i fit it? The description reads

Here I have up for sale a lovely cylinder head for a 1275 mini.

The valves measure approximately 33mm and 29mm.

This runs on Unleaded petrol.

There are some stamps on the head that can been see in the photos below, but im unsure what they mean.

Any information would be gratefully received.[frame]Image[/frame]

What engine do you wish to run this head ? Note it has no bypass hose connection (good!) but you will need to use a 'no bypass' water pump with it. All the usual caveats apply - you must ensure 320 thou clearance on the exhaust valves between valve head and head face.

Not easy to tell but those combustion chambers look shallow, ask if the head has been skimmed. Standard thickness is 2.75''.

The tell-tale in the middle lower edge of the head suggests not - at least not significantly.........

What are the markings stamped on the face?
I can't quite make them out from the picture.

Are they stamps? Looks more like head gasket stains/imprints to me!
