Does anyone know of the whereabouts of the cars that played the part of miriam in the tv series I believe there were 4 cars.

I supplied a new coil for "Miriam". At the time I lived in a cottage literally on the opposite side of the road (lane) that ran past the "Lovejoy" farmhouse. Knowing my collection of Moggies I was the obvious place to turn when they needed a spare in a hurry! I was then shown round the set and met the actors - although I hadn't watched the show and didn't know who they were, and I was more interested in the car. It was a standard convertible but with slightly wider wheels and a fancy tail pipe - although the exhaust itself was standard.

The guy in charge of the car pulled out the dipstick and found a tiny drop of condensation. "The head gasket's going" he said. "Get it fixed" said the director, and off went the car to have some unnecessary work done - no wonder the licence fee is so expensive!

The number plates were false, I don't know what the genuine ones were, or where the car went.

I wonder if andy hirst still cares....
