Hi,

Does anyone know the thread size for the 2 screws that secure the door checkstrap to the a-post? 2 have snapped off so i need to drill out and retap. I have an imperial tap&die set but only metric drills, so if anyone knows if there is a drill that would be close that would also be very helpful!

I think that they are 1/4 BSF, but if you are drilling and tapping anyway, then you could use any thread you like, but i agree that it would be good to use the correct one.

The thread is 1/4 x 26 TPI BSF and the tapping drill is 5.3mm.

It never ceases to amaze me how knowledgable and generous with your time you lot are.
