Hi all,
Today I picked up a '68 minor 1000 with a 1.3 marina and 5 speed type 9 - it's my wife's car (our first Morris Minor) and I must say it's been a blast. It's the slowest thing I've driven for a long time, braking is terrible, and handling is ... basic, but I love it! It's had some brilliant reactions from people too.
We brought it back 200 miles and apart from a bit of an oil leak and a small bit of coolant out of the overflow it hasn't missed a beat. Not bad for a car that did 180 miles last year! I'm sure I'll be picking your brains at some point about things

Welcome to the forum! I suggest an oil and filter change will be a good idea - so you know where you are with that.

Thanks for the welcome, no pics yet but I will post some soon. The car has been great - took it to Waddington airshow today and it sat in traffic after sustained 60+ mph with no issues at all. It's doing about 60 miles a day and not needing anything but a wash so far!
