Why were Travellers never red.?

Here you go another red Traveller. There is one for sale in the message board.

I restored her in 1985, she still looks very good after all this time. Not cosseted or brought out rarely.

It was stripped,shotblasted then fully restored properly with many uprated modifications,after 28 years she still turns heads.

Any other red travellers out there.?

Red does have a tendency to fade quite badly in sunlight, maybe That's why it wasn't an option back then.

I have never been struck on white cars.
It is funny how different colours suit different types of cars.

Dove grey looks good against the timber of a Morris Traveller,not sure if it would suit say a Jaguar.?

Indigo Blue makes the Jaguar look very classy.

I like our red Traveller,a bit different to the run of the mill colours out there.

Mines red...

its Maroon B :wink:

I don't think bright red was ever a standard minor colour... it was used on the MGs & Austin/Healeys though
