and have been quoted £125 to rechrome the blade which originaly came off the car would it be better to buy a new valence to match the chrome?

got my car back from painting and got all excited to fit the new chrome to the back bumper but to fine that the blade doesnt pull tight where it curves each end and have been quoted £125 to rechrome the blade which originaly came off the car
would it be better to buy a new valence to match the chrome?
