Advertised Traveller Goes Up In Price,!!!!

Post by Morris Mike »

I have noticed a White Morris Minor Traveller on Ebay and Classic Cars .Com.(sorry not into links)

Firstly it was advertised for £12,000 on Classic Cars .Com.
Then it was listed on Ebay,it reached £6,1000 but the owner pulled it off fearing it may not make much more.

Now I see it listed on Ebay in a classified ad at £14,000.
But the Classic Car.com advert is still active at £12,000.

I just wondered if I arrived to view the car with hard cash if the gentleman would meet me half way at £13,000 :D :D

Number plates worth £7k? YEAH RIGHT!!
A number plate is worth nothing if you cant find a buyer it suits!
Maybe lucky and get £700 for it on a good day!
I had for sale CON 591,valued at £2750!!
I couldnt even get a grand for it on Ebay,in the end I sold it with the car.
New owner retained the plate and its been doing the rounds of plate dealers for the last 3 yrs at circa £3500!
Nice looking car,if you need an auto and better comfort for the old bones or the wife!

Hopefully no one will be silly enough to pay this kind of money...............
1954 Series 2: 4 door: "Sally" -- Back on the ground with (slave) wheels, now being sprayed by me, slowly......
1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)
1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......

Mini auto engine and gearbox ?? So -front wheel drive?? It's a real lash up............ No pictures of how that has been done.... And the ghastly seats....... Oh dear. He should have grabbed the £6000 if it reached that on ebay...... I would value it at less than half that.

I also find it alarming that he has a picture showing the expiry date on his tax disc was march 2012 and fails to give any explanation to why this is so in his description... Nobody in the right mind would pay that much for a heavily modded traveler that isn't even road legal so why does the seller think he is going to get £14,000 for it, 7 grand number plate or not???
