Try contacting the MMOC Derby office - they may have the records.

Last traveller chassis number was 1294082 I believe.
That leaves a fair bit of room for a younger one to still be out there. I sold one a year or two back which was around 700 from last.

I have red, that the cassis numbers of the last few 1000 cars are not really in sequence.
My car was first registered in December 1971!

From what I have seen recorded the last traveller built was in April 1971, and the last van 327368 was Feb 1972. A number of travellers would have been in dealer stock well into 1972.
Other chassis number 'lasts' recorded were;
Series 2 448714
948cc 990289
1098cc 2 door 1288377
1098cc 4 door 1288299
Convertible 1254328

I have red the article from Martin Evans in the Minor Matters Vol 38 no2 about long ownership.
His Traveller has the ending numbers 1293704.
My very new Traveller has 1293705 !!!!
I want to get in contact with Martin.
Does anybody know him, or how to get in contact with him?

NO Travellers built after Oct/Nov 1971, LCVs 23/12/71(ish)....1972 unlikely...

Do you have evidence that Travellers were built that late? I thought it was always accepted that production ended at chassis number 1294082 in April 1971.
I agree that several were registered and sold months later - indeed I can remember a local dealer having one in stock.

To my knowledge there were no Traveller's with 4 hole dash trim - as Civvy LCVs Oct/Nov 1971 - just the chrome blanking plug where the old ign switch used to be.
Therefore, NO Traveller's built AFTER Oct/Nov 1971, and the April 1971 date intact.
I have 1294064 on my records, sadly no body number.

Did late Travellers also have "over-cuts" on their bonnets?

Rear edges - where the bonnet meets the bottom of the cab gutter line.
Late LCVs have the "bottom" cut intruding into the "top" cut, central pressing getting progressively less pronounced.
Wondering about the probability of 3 types of bonnet in production simultaneously.
LCV bonnet, LCV bonnet(without chrome strip) & Traveller bonnet.
