Cornbury Park

Post by jagnut66 »

Hi,
This might seem silly but I'm assuming this is the Cornbury Park near Charlbury in Oxfordshire.....
If this is so then I've printed off a map to get me there but for those using SAT NAV is there a postal code?
Another silly question but I take it that when I get there Cornbury Park is well signposted, I've found some rural places (of public interest) have not been very well signposted in the past......
Many thanks.
Mike.

1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......

Directions to Cornbury Park, including the sat nav post code, are here: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49429

I don't know how clearly the Park is signposted but there are usually quite a few MMOC signs in place pointing the way to the rally entrance. I wouldn't worry about getting lost as there will probably be one or two other Minors around that you can follow :D

Bicester, Banbury and Oxford are quite close... and if you get really stuck there are some motorway services at Junction 10 (A43)

By the time we got to Woodstock,
We were half a million strong
And Everywhere there was song and celebration.

In previous years the bar has managed to have a separate counter for non-party goers. I'm sure that something can be arranged again this year.

Turned out to be a lovely drive once through Bicester, through the Oxfordshire countryside, very picturesque.

Did you get many 'bonnets up' with the appalling weather we got (on Saturday and not much better Sunday)?

Still excellent show despite this. The clubs should get together for a National Morris Clubs day more often! :D :D
Not every year though, otherwise it might become too much of the same....
How about once every five years?

By the way, many thanks to the organisers for an excellent couple of days despite the weather! :D :D
Best wishes,
Mike.
