Hi
Are the front wheel cylinders the same on the 948cc 7" shoes and the 1098 8" shoes?
my car is the 948cc and I have a spare from my old minor 1098cc and want to know if I can use it. I have been on ESM website and they appear to have 2 types but they don't state what the difference??
many thanks

I know they look the same/similar but there must be a difference as ESM show genuine and non genuine for both pictures?

They are the same, note the rear cylinders are different between 950/1100 and so if changing these they must match the other side!

They are the same - but of course left and right hand versions. As others have mentioned - if buying front cylinders avoid the pattern parts - although pattern rears appear to get better press.

Pattern rears are fine as they are made to the same design, but the pattern front have a different set up inside the piston and as said already the dont last.
