Choke, how do you do yours :-)

Hi all

I was just wondering how everyone else uses their choke.?
Me personally, ill pull it out just enough and soon as I'm driving push it in pretty much straight away. Sometimes if car isn't just warm enough I have to pull it out a little when I'm at a junction so it doesn't stall

Pretty much the same as you, mine doesn't like too much choke at all. Out to start her then after a little way fully back in.

Depends on the weather, really cold you may need more choke, warm like this and I hardly need any.
I use it the same way as you. Too much choke puts too much petrol in and can wash the oil from your bores so use it sparingly.

Ohh you mean in the car? As much as needed, and used sparingly.

I turn the engine over on the starter with no choke to get the oil pressure up so that the ends don't rattle when it fires up!

I have mine well set up so that the first 1/4 inch of movement gives a fast idle without moving the jet - essential for a fast warm-up.

Mine runs like a bag of s**t with the choke on in any position when cold, really lumpy, no idea why, but normally half choke for start up, and I push it in as soon as I set off.

I do exactly the same, my partner sometimes thinks it wont start but im just turning it over to get the oil up and around the engine before I fire it up, want it to last !
