ive finally bought a minor

hello all ive finally got a minor well half off one ive bought a 1966 convertible it was put in garage in 1977 to be tidied up and never finished its got old type log book mot and a old tax disc so I hope can get number back somehow its missing a lot off parts I need 4 wings, front panel and floor cover over gearbox,also I don't have the metal channel that goes over the back window glass iam thinking these could take some finding or impossible to find the engines seized and gearbox is very sloppy so I will be on the look out for many spares also need 2 front seats iam sure ther will be many other bits iam sure also thrown in was another green 1963 2 door for spares but not really many spares on it very orginal but very rusty its got a old v5 last updated 1995 but not on dvla site so have to sort that out I will join club soon but at moment stretched myself buying them and fuel picking them up ill try upload some photos ill get some more when I get chance,rae[frame]

Well done - are you hoping to rebuild both - or just rob the green one for spares? Nice MIG welder in the first picture......

Rae you do know its a converted saloon?? the reg is CJP40D

no its a genuine convertible it all checks out correct numbers old log book correct plate he got mixed up with chassis numbers he gave me the wrong number so I took a chance and viewed it and its all is correct that's why I bought it I hope to leave green one alone and save now for some panels and engine and box ,rae

I would rob the green one for mechanical parts just now - can always replace them later if it eventually gets rebuilt. But it will need 'covered storage' meantime of course!

its already in the dry there is not much on it to rob its on the border off worth saveing for now ill keep an eye out for some bits I didn't think idd ever afford one so 2 halfs is better than none at all ,rae
