Fuel Pump Points

Finally got my fuel pump to run properly having fitted new points.

However, although the points are double headed (were the original ones single? The ones I took out were double and badly worn), there's a spark from just one side. Is there a way of getting both heads sparking by bending the outer points arm in some way? I've seen mention of this but don't understand quite what to do.

Any help gratefully received.
