Anyone know of any good sites for spares and repairs to Briggs & Stratton engines?? Bought two today - and of course, planning on big valves/different camshaft etc - and HIF 38 carb of course..... Maybe tuned length exhaust! But first - I would like to see if they actually GO......

One of the first jobs I had after I left school was in a Briggs & Stratton main dealer!
Pretty limited tuning potential I'm afraid.
Ebay seems like a good bet for any spares you might need.

Some people call them Briggs and scrap iron.
Horizontal or vertical shaft?
I have an older B&S manual, I can look up specs for you if needed, just send me a PM.

Hahahahaha - just a simple recon job - vertical shaft, 3.5 and 4.0 HP engines. Anyone got a favourite/reliable spare parts supplier? Or perhaps more importantly - any to avoid?? Maybe need a PM for that to avoid trubble........

Found many helpful (and some terrible) videos on YouTube which have explained all I needed to get one engine running.....and high hopes for the second one. Both have spark - so it's definitely not the coil...........

I see that Honda are working on a 130mph mower with a Minor steering rack "for greater control" so something worth considering Roy :D http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22784725
