In-line fuel filter.

Post by AlTroakex »

Everytime I have pumped the bonnet up the fuel filter has almost been full. But today after a 'dull ticking' kind of sound I popped it up and it was very low and fuel was sputtering into the filter from the fuel hose.

Do I have a problem at all?

Thanks, Al.

What state is the filter in the body of the pump ? Maybe that's in need of a clean / replacement.

The filter inside the fuel pump? I haven't a clue to be honest. My knowledge isn't the greatest to be honest. If it needs replacing, is that the whole pump that needs replaced?

As above - get rid of the additional fuel filter - not necessary and could be restricting fuel flow.
